Almost a Suit

So… I have a confession. I do wear pants. In fact, I probably only ever go about two weeks without wearing them. I just never seem to get them into any photographs. I still think they’re generally uncomfortable and they’re not very flattering on me. A skirt with a little volume really balances out my shoulders.
This is about as close to a pant suit as you’ll ever see me in (these are denim). I do truly dislike pant suits. I don’t know what it is about them… I think it has something to do with the wide-leg pants that are a part of so many suits. Love them on other women, but not on me. All my suits are skirt suits, though I’d probably buy dress suits as well. And I’d love if someone started making three-piece suits for women. [Read more...]
Zebra Pretending to Live in a Forest

Whenever I’m not in New York I like to pretend that I live in the forest, but as you can see by the paved road that’s definitely not true. Even if the trees are very tall and forest-like.
I haven’t worn this skirt in a long long while because it doesn’t wear well with tights and it wrinkles terribly in the front. Tried to casual it up by wearing the plain shirt, but I couldn’t resist the lure of the pink belt or nude pumps. Night Photos on the Eve of the New Year

Dear Caitlin,
Happy New Year! Wishing you luck and prosperity :) I left it really late to get photos, and after two other locations I finally decided on this one. This light is so much harsher than I’m used to, but the flash was much worse. I like that these remind me of film photos, though. I did get my Instax for Christmas and I love it!
Hope you had a wonderful New Year’s Eve! I went to a concert… and was still overdressed, haha.
